Mission Statement:
America Needs Fatima is a campaign to capture the heart and soul of America with the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. In 1917, Our Lady appeared at Fatima to three young seers with a message of warning and hope for humanity. If the world did not convert, the Blessed Mother said there would be much suffering, famines and wars. To avert such disasters, Our Lady asked for prayer, penance and other measures. She also promised that:
“In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
Today, Our Lady’s message is timelier than ever in light of the many sins of men and the turning away from the Faith. The America Needs Fatima campaign is dedicated to bringing this urgent message into people’s homes and to the public square. This is done by the home visitation program, in which a statue of Our Lady visits thousands of private homes yearly. America Needs Fatima distributes millions of rosaries, devotional items and calendars. Other activities include Public Square Rosary Rallies, publications, e-mail campaigns and protests against blasphemies.
Personal Testimony of Our Rally Captain:
My full name is Rosalinda Sisneros. I'm the Rally Captain and Facilitator for the yearly "America Needs Fatima" Rosary Rally held here at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.
In late August 2013, I met with Father Scott Raef about having a Rosary Rally. He was excited about it and very encouraging which was good news to me because I wasn't sure how he would react. I told him that I was stepping out of my comfort zone because I'm a
better follower than leader.
I had previously received a letter in the mail asking me to be a Rosary Rally Captain for America Needs Fatima. My first reaction was there's no way I can do that. But something kept tugging at my heart:
With God all things are possible. You have such a strong devotion to Mary. When you taught at St. Joseph School, you instilled the importance of praying the Holy Rosary to your 3rd Graders. You taught them the four Mysteries and knelt with them as you prayed the Rosary together at least once a week. Miracles can and have happened through praying the Holy Rosary.
In other words, I had convinced myself that I could do it. Even before I talked to Father Scott, I had talked to my husband about it. I thought if he doesn't think it's a good idea then I just won't do it. To my surprise, he said, "If that's what you want to do, go ahead. But think about what you're getting yourself into!"
I asked my dear friend, Teresa Hunt, if she would help me. She was pleased that I asked her and immediately said, "Sure I will!" Then, Nanette Nguyen also volunteered to help.
We just completed our 3rd Annual Rosary Rally in 2015. The annual Rally is normally held on 2nd or 3rd Saturday in October at Noon so please mark your calendar and plan to join us. The Rally is held inside the church, we start with the song Immaculate Mary with a Procession of Our Lady of Fatima followed by children carrying silk roses. We pray the Angelus, state Petitions, and then pray the Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary for Peace in the world. We end with Ave Maria. The entire Rosary Rally lasts about 40 minutes; please join us for Our Lord and His Blessed Mother Mary!
