Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion must be actively participating Catholics, at least 18 years of age and in good standing with the Church. Training sessions for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are held periodically and are required of those who wish to serve in this capacity. Assignments are made on a monthly basis and the schedule is mailed to assigned ministers.
