Couples contemplating marriage need to contact the pastor at least six months before the wedding date for details of the premarital preparation programs and before any other arrangements can be made.

The Texas Catholic Bishops have established guidelines for wedding preparation.  The Sponsor Couple Program (in which a married couple acts as a mentor for the engaged couple) and the Engagement Encounter (a weekend retreat at the Bishop DeFalco Retreat Center) are outgrowths of those guidelines.
