An Iowan at birth, Kerry moved to Amarillo at age two when her parents relocated to Texas. She grew up attending St. Thomas the Apostle Parish with her family and graduated from Randall High School. She earned her Bachelors in English Education from St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, OK and her Masters in English from the University of Dayton in OH. While at UD, Kerry participated in the Lalanne Program, a service teaching program that placed her in an inner-city Catholic school while she worked on her Masters degree. She taught 6th-9th English and religion at different times in Detroit, MI; Cleveland, OH; and Middletown, OH.
After eleven years away from her family, she felt called to return to TX, where she met her now-husband Adam at the St. Thomas Young Adult group. She taught middle and high school English and religion at Ascension Academy and briefly served as the Co-Director of Family Faith Formation at St. Hyacinth's in Amarillo before answering what again felt like a call to rejoin St. Thomas in a new capacity as the Director of Religious Education.
A shoe-aholic and self-described book nerd (she loves to read and write for pleasure), her favorite pastimes include being with and traveling with her husband Adam, their children Corinne, Deacon, and Audrey, and spending time with extended family and friends.
